In a recent podcast, Mufti Qavi praised Indian actress Rakhi Sawant for converting to Islam and proposed marriage to her. Now, Rakhi’s reaction to the proposal has also come to light.
Mufti Qavi spoke on the podcast and stated that he would be willing to marry Rakhi if approval came from his mother because for him, the mother’s approval is very much necessary. Express News
Mufti explained that scholars such as Dr. Zakir Naik have put that sacred scriptures of Hinduism also carry the belief of divine origin. So, Rakhi is classified under “Ahl-e-Kitab,” which makes it permissible to marry her.
He spoke of his first marriage, saying he wedded a lady from a reputable family, a family as prestigious as that of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Mahatma Gandhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru. After his wife’s death, however, the relationship suffered, though he honored and respected his late wife until this day.

To this, Rakhi t came forward and accepted the marriage proposal put forward by Mufti . In a recent interview, Rakhi stated: “I want to marry a Maulana. Mr. Qavi, your name itself is an emotion. Give me some poetry.”
