
Peshawar: The PTI leadership has decided to get the Mines and Minerals Bill approved by the KP Assembly only after obtaining Imran Khan’s permission.
The committee was informed that the bill has already been presented in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and debate is ongoing, but the bill will fully align with Imran Khan’s agenda, manifesto, narrative and public aspirations. The bill will only be passed by the assembly after detailed consultation, formal approval and taking into confidence from leader Imran Khan, Reported be Express News
According to PTI’s political committee statement, a detailed meeting was held about the Mines and Minerals Bill under discussion in KP Assembly, where Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur gave a comprehensive explanation of all important points of the bill.
The committee reviewed all aspects of the bill and unanimously agreed that the bill contains no clause transferring provincial autonomy, mineral rights or resources to the federation, SIFC or any federal institution. It was decided that all stakeholders’ positive suggestions would be welcomed, and consultations with other parliamentary parties would continue before the bill’s approval.
The committee was informed that while the bill has been presented in KP Assembly and debate is ongoing, it will fully match Imran Khan’s agenda. Final approval will only come after detailed consultation with the leader.
The meeting decided that no haste was or would be shown regarding this bill. As per Imran Khan’s April 8 meeting instructions, those meeting with the chairman are strictly prohibited from discussing meeting details or instructions with media.
As per Imran Khan’s orders, individuals meeting him will submit his written instructions to the party’s Central Secretary Information, who alone is authorized to issue official statements. No other statements will be considered valid.
Party officeholders must refrain from public statements against each other – show-cause notices will be issued for violations. Those holding party positions who violate this will have their responsibilities withdrawn.
In the meeting, Barrister Gohar was briefed about Punjab Chief Organizer’s powers. Instructions were given to form a 6-member advisory committee with the Chief Organizer.
