Ministry of Defense initially proposed setting up of 5 military courts: sources

Islamabad: Government sources say that the Ministry of Defense has initially proposed the establishment of 5 military courts.

According to the government sources, it is proposed to establish 3 military courts in Rawalpindi and 2 in Lahore, the status of cases coming under the scope of the Army Act will be special,

the federal cabinet will approve the establishment of military courts through the summary of the Ministry of Defense.

Government sources also say that there will be a right of appeal in the High Courts and the Supreme Court against the decisions of the military courts.
