Parvez Elahi appointed PTI president

Former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was named president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) On Tuesday,

A notification confirming Elahi’s approval as the party’s president has been issued by PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Imran Khan’s signature appears on the notification that was sent to PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Secretary General Asad Umar, Vice President for Media Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, and focal person Shireen Mazari. Elahi and other party members had joined the PTI last month. At the time, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain mentioned that Elahi would become the party’s president once legal and constitutional obstacles were cleared up.
