PTI supporters and police fight in Zaman Park to avoid Imran Khan’s arrest.

ISLAMABAD – Islamabad’s police operations chief has arrived at the residence of former prime minister Imran Khan to arrest him in the Toshakhana case. He is leading a number of officers and the anti-riots squad.

Even though the police have nearly sealed off all roads leading to Zaman Park, where the chairman of the PTI lives, party workers are standing in large groups with batons to prevent their leader from being arrested.

In a media interview, PTI Senior Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked the Islamabad police’s DIG operations to negotiate over the warrants that claim Khan is on protective bail.
