The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Announced for Asian Games, former captain Bisma will not be a part of the famous squad.
The cricket competition of the Asian Games will be held from September 19 to 26 in Hangzhou, China. Diana Baig has returned to the national team, while Anush Nasir and Shawal Zalfiqar have been included in the squad for their outstanding performances in the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup and the Emerging Women’s Asia Cup.
Pakistan’s women’s team has won gold medals at the 2010 Asian Games in China and the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea and is now eyeing a hat-trick.
Asian Games cricket matches will be played under T20 format, Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team will start the tournament with quarter finals which will be held from September 22 to 24, semi finals will be held on September 25 and the final will be held on September 26.

The bronze medal match in the event will also be played on September 26.
The 15-member squad has been selected in consultation with women’s selection committee chairman Saleem Jaffer, head coach Mark Coles and captain Nida Dar.

Captain Nida Dar, Alia Riaz, Anush Nasir, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Muniba Ali, Najia Alvi, Nashera Sindhu, Natalia Pervez, Umima Sohail, Sadaf Shams, Shawal Zulfikar, Sidra Amin, Aroob Shah and Umm Hani are included.

Before the Asian Games, the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team will play three T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals (part of the ICC Championship) in the home series against South Africa from September 1 to 14.
