Arshad Nadeem was awarded gold medal in Paris Olympics, prizes worth crores of rupees were also announced in Pakistan
Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem has been awarded the gold medal for setting a new Olympic record in javelin throw events at a ceremony held in Paris.
India’s Neeraj Chopra was awarded silver and Grenada’s Anderson Peters was awarded bronze at the medal distribution ceremony of the javelin throw final.
After Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record and won a gold medal in the javelin throw events at the Paris Olympics, the congratulations continue and several awards have been announced for him.
Arshad accomplished this feat by throwing the javelin at a distance of 92.97 meters which is also his career best performance. Arshad’s first throw in the final at the Stade de France on Thursday night was called a foul, but his second throw broke the Olympic record set in 2008.

It was the biggest javelin throw of Arshad’s career and the sixth longest javelin throw ever in the world. Arshad also threw his last throw of the competition over 90 meters.
This is the second time that Arshad has thrown more than 90 meters in his career. In the past, he won the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham with a javelin throw of 90.18 metres.
Arshad’s long-time rival and defending champion Neeraj Chopra of India bagged the silver medal in the javelin final with a throw of 89.45 metres. This was his best throw this year. Anderson Peters of Grenada was awarded the bronze medal.
Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra stood first with a throw of 89.34 meters in the qualification round at the Paris Olympics, while Arshad Nadeem was placed fourth with a throw of 86.59 meters.
