Gilgit-Baltistan 5 people were killed and 12 tourists were injured when a bus full of tourists fell into a ditch on the Karakoram highway near Thalichi area of Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Diamar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Ayaz confirmed the casualties and said that three women, one child and one man were among the dead.
He further informed that the injured have been shifted to the local hospital, local people helped in the rescue, the high roof vehicle was coming from Lahore to Gilgit-Baltistan with 18 tourists on board.
It should be remembered that at the beginning of this month, 5 tourists were killed and 13 injured in 2 traffic accidents in Hunza.
Last month, 8 people including 2 children were killed and 17 people were injured when a Datsun car going to Chitral from Upper Dir fell into a ditch.
On June 12, a coaster carrying about 28 pilgrims met with an accident in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, killing at least 9 people and injuring others seriously.

SSP Kotli Riaz Mughal said that when the coaster reached Jarai village on the border of Kotli and Mirpur districts, it fell into the ditch due to the negligence of the driver who was not familiar with the area.
On May 1, a tourist car from Lahore in Azad Jammu and Kashmir had an accident and plunged into the Neelum River, resulting in the death of one tourist.
On February 7, a passenger bus collided with a car coming from the opposite direction in Shatial area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a result of which 21 people were killed and 12 injured. The passenger bus was going from Gilgit-Baltistan to Rawalpindi.

SSP Sher Khan had said that the passenger fell into the ditch after the bus and the car collided, 16 people were killed in the bus and 5 people were in the car while 12 other passengers were injured.
