Increase tuition fees in private medical colleges declared illegal

The Lahore High Court Increase tuition fees in private medical colleges declared illegal during the study program.

Justice Shahid Jameel of Lahore High Court issued a decision on different petitions of the same nature.

The court declared that the increase in tuition fees and other charges during education is illegal. The increase is illegal, PMDC should ensure that private medical colleges charge only the tuition fee specified at the time of admission for session 2022 and beyond.

The court has ordered that the report on the implementation of the decision be submitted within 45 days. Instructions to send suggestions for Urdu translation of judgments to the Chief Justice

It has been said in the decision that many important decisions related to fundamental rights are not understood by the citizens due to being in English, the Registrar should send suggestions to the Chief Justice for the translation of court decisions into Urdu, the Urdu translation of the decision should be done with the permission of the concerned judge. This problem is an obstacle to the right to get information given in the constitution.

The court said that it is argued that due to the lack of translation skills, there cannot be a quick transition from English to Urdu, the truth is that no steps have been taken at the state level in this regard, in this age of artificial intelligence, now video There is an option to select any language while running.
