Pakistan Womens team Defeated New Zealand For the First Time in the History of Cricket.

In the first T20I, the Pakistan Womens team had defeated the New Zealand Women’s team for the first time in the history of cricket.

In the first T20 match that was played in Dunedin, Pakistan Women’s team beat the host New Zealand by seven wickets making it the first victory for Pakistan Women over New Zealand in nine T20 matches.

New Zealand Women’s team won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 127 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Pakistan Women achieved their target for the loss of 3 wickets in 18.2 overs. Helped by scoring 43 runs and remaining not out while Suzy Bates scored 28 runs.

In the first T20 match by Pakistan Womens team, Fatima Sana’s brilliant bowling and Shawwal Zulfiqar’s responsible batting played an important role in the historic success of Pakistan Women. After which the opener Shawal Zulfikar played a brilliant innings of 41 runs to win his team.

Pakistan Womens team openers Shawal Zulfiqar and Muniba Ali started well with 40 runs, Muniba Ali scored 23 and Shawwal Zulfiqar 41 runs, Nida Dar scored 23 while Alia Riaz played aggressively and hit 2 fours and a six off 12 balls. He scored 25 runs with the help and remained not out.

New Zealand Women’s Sophie Devine bagged two wickets while Fatima Sana was adjudged Player of the Match for her brilliant bowling. The second T20 between the two teams will be played at the same ground on Tuesday.
