Lahore: The Punjab government has prepared a plan to send artificial rain to remedy the increasing smog. Lahore is once again ranked as the most polluted city in the world, with an overall Aqi of 343.
The Punjab government is preparing a plan to send artificial rain to eliminate smog in Lahore city, a committee of experts has also been formed for artificial rain on November 28 and 29.
Dr. Manoor Saber, a member of the government technical committee and director of the Punjab University Institute of Geography, says that artificial rain can be sprinkled on the already existing clouds by sprinkling salt on them.

Dr. Manoor Saber further said that artificial rainfall will not affect the climate system, as smog hits the city every year, so man-made rain will be needed every year.
Dr. Manoir Sabar, the institute director of the Punjab University Institute of Geography. proposed the concept of artificial rainfall three years ago and it was also tested in Khanspur. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no chance of rain till mid-December.
