In the third match of the series of 5 T20 matches, New Zealand set Pakistana target of 164 runs to win.

 

In the match being played in Lahore, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat.

New Zealand’s innings

New Zealand had a disappointing start to the innings with Chad Bowes bowled for 7, followed by Will Young for 17.

Daryl Mitchell made 33 and fell victim to Shaheen Afridi. Thanks to the responsible innings of captain Tom Latham, the Kiwis scored 163 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Tom Latham scored 64 runs.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf took two wickets each while Shadab Khan took one wicket.

 

After losing the toss, captain Babar Azam said that the pitch looks like the first match, there has been no change in the conditions, they will try to restrict New Zealand to a minimum score.

 On the other hand, Muhammad Rizwan, who was unfit in the second T20, got fit and is included in the playing eleven in the third T20.

It should be noted that Pakistan has a lead of 0-2 in the 5-match series.
