In the match being played in Colombo, the entire Sri Lankan team got out by scoring 50 runs in just 15.2 overs, the Indian bowlers did not give the Sri Lankan batsmen a chance to think, 5 batsmen including the Sri Lankan captain got out for zero while Kaushal Mendes 5, Patham Nissanka 2, Dhananjaya De Silva 4, Donath Velalje 8, Pramod Madhushan 1 runs out. Kaushal Mendis was the top scorer with 17 runs and Dushan Hemantha scored 13 runs.

For India, Mohammad Siraj  6 out, Hardik Pandya 3 while Jasprit Bumrah guided one player to the pavilion. Sri Lankan team captain Dasan Shanaka won the toss and decided to bat first.

The Lincoln captain said that Dushan Hemantha has been given a chance in the playing XI in place of Mahesh Thiekshana.

On this occasion, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that by scoring big against Sri Lanka, he will put the rival team under pressure. Regarding the changes in the team, he said that Washington Sundar has been included in place of Akshar Patel.
