Lahore- The ICC World Cup 2023 trophy began a three-day tour in Pakistan, where it made stops at numerous iconic locations and in front of adoring crowds.

The “Pakistan Diaries” film, which documents the trophy’s trip across Pakistan, was posted by the official ICC Twitter account, now known as X.

Wahab Riaz, a former cricketer for Pakistan and currently the advisor to the chief minister of Punjab for sports, unveiled the trophy to officially kick off its trip to Pakistan.

The ICC World Cup 2023 Trophy in Pakistan was on display for fans at well-known monuments like the Badshahi Mosque, the Minaret of Pakistan, and other old buildings.

On June 27, the tournament’s host country, India, welcomed the trophy to the world. Since then, it has visited England, Italy, France, the United States, Bangladesh, Kuwait, and Bahrain in addition to Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the West Indies.

From October 5 to November 19, the competition will feature 10 teams vying for the prestigious championship at 10 different locations. Both the tournament’s opening game and its conclusion will take place in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

The round-robin format for the Cricket World Cup will pit all teams against one another in 45 league games. The semifinals, which are set for November 15 in Mumbai and November 16 in Kolkata, will feature the top four teams. The semifinal and championship games are scheduled on reserve days.

It’s important to note that Pakistan has not yet revealed their team for this eagerly anticipated competition.
