The national squad for the series against Afghanistan and the Asia Cup will be announced today.

Pakistan Announcement Today Asia Cup and Afghanistan Series Squad According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Cricket Board, Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq will announce the selected squad today at the PCB Headquarters Gaddafi Stadium.

3 ODI matches between Pakistan and Afghanistan are scheduled in Sri Lanka on August 22, 24 and 26, while the first two matches will be hosted in Dambulla and the third match in Colombo.

On the other hand, immediately after the series against Afghanistan, the national team will start its campaign for the Asia Cup on August 30. In the opening match, the teams of Pakistan and Nepal will clash in Multan.

Pakistan played the last series against New Zealand, two changes are likely in this team, fast bowler Ehsanullah is suffering from fitness problems, Zaman Khan can replace him. Haris Sohail will join the team if he is fit. Wale Iftikhar Ahmed will also be given a chance against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

Captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Imamul Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Shan Masood, Abdullah Shafiq, Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, Naseem Shah, Muhammad Rizwan, Osama Mir, Muhammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Wasim Jr. Zaman Khan will represent Pakistan.

It should be noted that after the appointment of Inzamam-ul-Haq as the chief selector, the first task of the selection committee is to select the team for the scheduled series between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Sri Lanka and this same team will be for the Asia Cup, while the conditions of Sri Lanka and India are slightly different. It has been agreed to select separate teams for the reason.
