Pakistan VS Afghanistan ODI Series Starts in Sri Lanka on August 22

The series of 3 One Day International matches between Pakistan VS Afghanistan ODI Series will be played in Sri Lanka from 22 to 26 August.

In an announcement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), it was said that the national team will tour Sri Lanka in August for a 3 ODI series against Afghanistan.

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) also confirmed the series and said that this series is a part of the future tour programme.

The announcement, the first and second matches between the two teams will be played in Humbntota on August 22 and 24 respectively.

The third and final ODI of the series between Pakistan VS Afghanistan ODI Series will be played on August 26 in Colombo.

The PCB said the three matches would provide a good opportunity for the national team, led by Baba Azam, to prepare for the Asia Cup, which begins on August 30 with matches against Nepal and Pakistan at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

The announcement said that the national team will reach Sri Lanka for the series on August 17, where it will train on August 19, 20 and 21, while returning to Pakistan on August 27 after the final match on August 26.

Remember that Pakistan is currently ranked second in the ICC World ODI rankings, while Afghanistan is ranked eighth.

Pakistan and Afghanistan have played 4 ODIs so far and the national team has been victorious in all of them, the last ODI between the two teams was played in the World Cup 2019.

August 17: The national team will reach Sri Lanka.

August 19, 20, 21: Training sessions

22 August: 1st ODI, Humbantota

24 August: second ODI humbntota

August 26: Third ODI Colombo

August 27: Departure of the national team back to Pakistan
