Former national cricketer and fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has admitted for the first time on his marriage and wife that his wife is much younger than him.
Shoaib Akhtar recently appeared in a podcast, where he opened up about his career, marriage and how he got married.
In response to a question, the former cricketer revealed that he got into cricket only when he was studying in FA, due to which he could not even give a single FA paper and till now he has not been able to give the said paper.
He said that he had been serving his mother a lot, due to which he got what he wished for.
He claimed that till date he has not denied anything of his mother, whatever orders his mother gives him, he obeys them with his head down and that is why he got everything.
He said that when he was a teenager, the prayers he used to pray to God while pressing his mother’s feet were fulfilled.

When asked about the marriage, Shoaib Akhtar said that his marriage was suddenly arranged by his parents and he was given an order, which he followed.
He said that his mother-in-law and his mother met each other for the first time on the occasion of Hajj in Saudi Arabia, where his mother-in-law treated his mother as a pirni and served him a lot.
According to the former cricketer, his mother told his mother-in-law that she is not Pirni but Shoaib Akhtar’s mother, due to which people come to meet her and respect her.
According to Shoaib Akhtar, on his return from Hajj, his mother introduced him to his future wife on a dinner invitation and said that she was his bride.
According to him, after the said meeting, their marriage was fixed, which was attended by a few members of both the families and they got married very simply and brought the bride home in marriage.
He said that he is not in favor of spending waste on other matters including marriage but he does not stop others from spending on marriage etc.
Shoaib Akhtar said that his wife is much younger than him and now he has two sons.
Shoaib Akhtar claimed that his wife herself does not want to appear in the media when asked a question about his wife appearing in the media.
He said that although his wife has a secular mindset, she is narrow-minded about appearing in the media and she does not want to appear herself, so he does not even pressurize her.
Shoaib Akhtar also said that he first asked his wife to come to the media and accompany him to other events, but she did not agree, after which he no longer speaks to her.
At the same time, he clarified that there is no restriction on his wife, however, he is in favor of the veil and he asks the wife to wear the veil, because the veil is God’s command.
On the question of second marriage, Shoaib Akhtar said with a smile that four marriages are allowed in Islam, but one wife is enough for him, he will not marry another.

He said that God has given him a chaste, beautiful and good wife, why would he marry again and that the role of men should be such that their wives consider them as idols and become an inspiration to them. .

It should be noted that Shoaib Akhtar married Rabab, who is 18 years younger than him in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), in June 2014. The couple had their first child in 2016 and later had another son.
