Wahab Riaz minister of sports, who is named as the pastor in the guardian arrangement, eagerly accepted his new job and communicated his obligation to sports advancement in the district.

In a ceremony that took place at the National Hockey Stadium today, veteran Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz took the oath of office as the interim Provincial Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs in Punjab.

He was briefed on the state of sports in Punjab at a meeting with Shahid Zaman, the Secretary of Sports Punjab, and Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, the DG of Sports Punjab.

Wahab minister of sports, who played for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 8, emphasized the significance of encouraging youth to participate in a variety of activities and promoting sports among them.

Wahab  promised that all resources would be utilized to develop sports and emphasized that sports promote discipline and character development.

The 37-year-old pacer added that during his tenure, he would make every effort to bring about positive changes in sports and bring everyone along for the promotion of sports in the province.

Najam Sethi reportedly asked Naqvi to delay Wahab oath-taking ceremony as interim sports minister until after the PSL concluded last month.
