There is a possibility of reduction petrol price in pakistan from january 1 2024.
According to Hum News, the price of petrol is expected to decrease by Rs 1.72 per liter. The price of high speed diesel(HSD) is expected to increase by Rs 1 per litre.
The new prices of petroleum products will be announced by the caretaker federal government on December 31.
It should be remembered that the Pakistani people were forced to buy the most expensive petrol and diesel in the country’s history in this year 2023.
The prices of petrol and diesel had reached the highest level in the country’s history on September 16 under the caretaker government, when the price of petrol per liter was the highest at Rs 331 38 paise and the price of diesel was the highest at Rs 329 18 paise per litre.
From October 1, 2023, the trend of reduction in the prices of petroleum products started, as a result of which, in the last 3 months, petrol became cheaper by Rs. 64, 4 paise and diesel by Rs. 52, 99 paise per liter.
the beginning of 2023, the price of petrol per liter was 214 rupees 80 paisa and the price of diesel per liter was 227 rupees 80 paisa.
At the end of the year 2023, the price of petrol per liter has increased to 267 rupees 34 paise and the price of high speed diesel has increased to 276 rupees 19 paise per liter.
