Government introduces petroleum insurance scheme for low-income families

ISLAMABAD – The government has announced a Rs50-per-liter petroleum assistance package for the country’s low-income residents.

On Sunday, a meeting in Lahore was held under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Sharif, customers who use motorcycles, rickshaws, and 800 CC vehicles will gain from the petroleum subsidy. He instructed all relevant authorities to quickly develop a plan to effectively implement the subsidy.

According to Sharif, low-income individuals use motorcycles, rickshaws, and other small vehicles, so petroleum subsidies will directly assist the poor. Government introduces petroleum insurance scheme for low-income families

Despite the severe economic difficulties, he stated, the government was attempting to assist the poor in every way possible.

The meeting was briefed on the strategy for implementing the petroleum subsidy for low-income individuals by Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik.
