Iran has expressed an interest in starting additional Pakistani power projects.
This agreement was reached during a meeting in Tehran between Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan, the Pakistani Energy Minister, and Ali Akbar Mehrabian, his counterpart.
The areas of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
Iran’s Energy Minister expressed gratitude to Pakistani authorities for rapidly constructing a transmission line to transport electricity from Iran to Gwadar.
Radio Pakistan reported that he expressed an interest in beginning additional electricity projects with Pakistan.
Khurram Dastgir traveled to Iran to meet with Iranian authorities to discuss the Pak-Iran Power Project’s progress.
Pakistan will import 100 Megawatts of electricity as part of the Pak-Iran Power Project.
