ISLAMABAD: Pak-China automobile Hawazi Green Energy Pvt Ltd will showcase its first electric car in Islamabad next month. The launch will be for marketing and public awareness of the company’s new electric vehicle (EV).

Khalid Mehmood, CEO of Hawazi Green Energy Private Limited and Al Falah EV Motors while talking to Gwadar Pro said that the electric car can be easily charged at home. The vehicle assembly plant is expected to arrive from China in October, while manufacturing will begin in November 2023.

He noted that our government has already approved the allotment of a plot for a vehicle manufacturing factory in Hattar Special Economic Zone of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We plan to start the EV booking process in January 2024.

This project has two phases. In the first phase, 2-door and 4-door cars will be introduced. Our electric vehicles will be marketed to the middle and lower middle class. And these vehicles will have a lithium battery with a warranty of 100,000 km or 4 years.

The CEO told GwadarPro that the company plans to launch mini-pickups and 2-wheeler bikes specifically for women in the second phase next year. The 2-door electric car will travel up to 225 km on a single charge. The 4-door electric car can travel up to 350 km on a single charge.

The USD 5 million Pakistan-China joint venture will complete 100 percent technology transfer in two to five years. According to the company, the manufacturing products will be exported to many countries and regions including Europe and Turkey.
