For the first time Artificial Rain in Lahore has been given in Pakistan, as a result of which 10 areas of Lahore were flooded.

Punjab caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi announced artificial rain. He says that the first artificial rain has been made in Pakistan.

Talking to the media in Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi said that 48 flares were fired in the first flight, the second flight will be conducted shortly for artificial rain, the flares were fired near Shahdara and Murid K.

He said that around 10 areas of Lahore received rain, thanks to the team from United Arab Emirates (UAE) who saw all the cases for artificial rain.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the special plane of UAE had arrived 11, 10 days before today, in total 2 planes of UAE came, their entire team was present here.

The Caretaker Chief Minister said that now we will see the effect of artificial rain, but the air quality index of Lahore will definitely go down.

Caretaker government of Punjab had decided to send artificial rain to control the worsening smog situation in the province last month.

According to reports, there has been low rain in different areas of Lahore. Citizens shared videos of Artificial Rain in Lahore on social media, showing light drizzle on car windscreens and rooftops.
