Punjab’s largest free flour scheme containing a relief package of Rs 53 billion has ended

Punjab, the largest free flour scheme containing Rs 53 billion Ramadan relief package has ended, under the scheme, more than 4 crore bags of 10 kg flour were distributed free of cost to the beneficiaries.

 

According to the spokesman of the Punjab government, on the last day of the free flour scheme, 27 lakh 49 thousand 580 bags of flour were distributed in the province.

 

A total of 4 crore 11 lakh 10 thousand 461 bags were distributed under the scheme, 3 crore 10 lakh families benefited from the free flour scheme.

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi have presented Mubar Kabad to the officers and officials who successfully completed the scheme.

 

The spokesperson says that for the first time in the province, free flour was provided to a record number of deserving people.

It should be noted that many people also lost their lives in getting free flour, yesterday another woman died while going home after getting flour in Muzaffargarh.

 

In Muzaffargarh and Kot Addu district, 4 persons including 3 women have died at the Ata points.
