Imran Khan was previously the subject of warrants for his arrest issued by a court in Islamabad for failing to appear for hearings in the Toshakhana case. The former premier’s residence was raided on Sunday by officers from the capital police, but he was able to evade capture.
Later, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the PTI chief to appear in the Toshakhana case before the district and sessions court on March 14.
Imran Khan is currently involved in dozens of cases involving allegations of terrorism, corruption, and other offenses. He was removed from power in April of last year by a vote of no confidence.
