Shahid Kamal, VC of GCU Faisalabad, dies in a car accident.

FAISALABAD – Government School College (GCU) Faisalabad Bad habit Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Shahid Kamal passed in a car accident on Monday.

Officials with the rescue agency said that the professor was driving from Lahore to Faisalabad when his car got into an accident near Sahianwala, where he died.

Dr. Shahid Kamal had worked in administration, research, and teaching for more than 30 years.

At the University of the Punjab in Lahore, he held the positions of professor, director, dean, and principal.

He was a stats scholar who was well-known all over the world. His PhD in Applied Biostatistics was earned at the University of Exeter in Devon, UK.

He established numerous master’s programs at the University of the Punjab. He contributed numerous research articles to reputable national and international research journals and wrote two books.

Additionally, he supervised numerous MPhil and PhD researchers. On July 24, 2019, he became VC at GCU  Shahid Kamal, VC of GCU Faisalabad, dies in a car accident.
