Lahore high court serves Notice to FIA in Azhar Mashwani missing case

RAWALPINDI: In the case of PTI activist Azhar Mashwani’s disappearance, the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench served notices on D.G. FIA and Director Cyber Wing. A Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz of the LHC Rawalpindi bench issued notices regarding a petition regarding PTI activist Azhar Mashwani’s disappearance.

The bench directed the SHO of the Green Town police station in Lahore to provide a response and bring the person who was reported missing to the court on March 28.

A petition submitted by Mazhar Mashwani, Azhar Mashwani’s brother, has resulted in notices being served by the court.

The petitioner has requested Azhar Mashwani’s production in court.

Respondents in the case are the Lahore Police and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), blasted Islamabad and the Punjab police for “breaking all the laws with impunity” in his condemnation of the “abduction” of party social media head Azhar Mashwani.

The former premier made the claim on Twitter that Azhar Mashwani missing case had been “abducted on Thursday afternoon from Lahore and his whereabouts were unknown.”

There is enough. Imran Khan wrote on Twitter, requesting the immediate release of the party’s activist, “Police in Punjab and Islamabad are breaking all laws as they target PTI with impunity.”
